About Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College All India Common Entrance Test (Dr. D Y Patil AICET)

Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune established in 1996, received recognition of the Medical Council of India (MCI), for the award of MBBS Degree from its very first batch. Dr. D.Y. PatilVidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune comprising of Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, has been accorded the status of University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, vide Notification No. F. 9-39/2001-U.3 dated 11th January 2003 of the Government of India.This is the first private College in the State of Maharashtra to receive MCI approval to increase the intake capacity of MBBS Course from 100 to 150 students in 2003 and from 150 to 250 in 2012, within the short span of time.

The MBBS programme offered by Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Center, Pune, is recognised by the Malaysian Government and Malaysian Medical Council. The International Recognition will enable our Medical College students to be appointed as Government Doctors in Malaysia, a unique opportunity to have international exposure in the field of Medicine.
 For selecting students for the MBBS & BDS courses the College every year conducts an All Indian Common Entrance Test.

Examination Pattern

There is 1 paper for Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology carrying total 200 questions – 50 from each subject.
Examination is Multiple Choice type with 4 options for 1 question.
Duration of exam is 3 hours.

Eligibility Criteria

(a) Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of his/her admission.(b) Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in 12th grade.
In case of SC/ST/OBC candidates they should have secured minimum 40%.

Downloaded form should accompany DD of Rs. 2,600/-07 May 2016 up to 5.00 PM (Test Fee Rs. 2,250/-)
Downloaded form should accompany DD of Rs. 2,850/-
Issuance of Admit Cards: 07 days before Entrance Test.
Date of Entrance Exam: 14 May 2016 (11.00 AM to 2.00 PM)
Exam Centres: Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkatta, Lucknow, New Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, and Pune.
